Have you ever wondered why you are overwhelmed by a peaceful felling when you are sharing/giving what you have with others? It may be because you see the joy in the people you interact, but I say it is because you are receiving the energy that the others are giving you, as a response to your gift.
The comparison is somehow improper, to put in the same balance material and immaterial things, but in essence is the same thing, it all transforms in energy. The energy has many way of expressing itself. It doesn’t mean that if we cannot see something, it’s not there.

This makes you think about the times when the man thought about earth as the center of the Universe, about the times when we thought that the man was the only intelligent being in the universe, about the times when we could not see beyond the horizon.
As long as the people are starting to be aware of their place in this universe, and in this world, we still have a change of a peaceful life on Earth.
