I was wondering the other day about what David Icke says in his conferences related to the part that there exists a certain “power” that wants to manipulate the human race.
At some point in his talks there is an idea related to the insertion of thoughts into the human brain. It is known that the human brain works on frequencies, and that some (most) of them are not perceptible by the conscious mind, but are receivable by the un-conscious mind. Some of this frequencies are Alpha (8-13.9 Hz), Beta (14-30Hz), Delta (0.1-3.9Hz), Theta (4-7.9Hz), Gamma (???). (The meaning of these frequencies will be discussed another time).
What I was wondering is that, if the brain is able to receive information (even instructions) in all of this states, conscious or un-conscious, will that affect his free will? Will that transform him into a puppet?
The answer is pretty easy, NO. Why? Because when a new idea “pops” into our brain, induced by someone or created from our own intellect, it is automatically filtered through the set of believes that we are build on. If it will pass that filtering mechanism, it will still have to pass "the little voice inside our heads” that makes you think twice before you act. But then we can listen to what Benjamin Franklin has to say: “When in doubt, don’t.”
To conclude this, we do not have to worry about some subliminal messages that are induced by this manner (if it was possible – and I think it is).

What if that set of beliefs has been “inserted” into our minds?
What if, after repeated exposure to the same ideas over and over again, our minds actually get used to that pattern of “stinking thinking”?
What if that pattern actually becomes part of the filtering mechanism?
There is a thing called “social programming”.
It’s so subtle that most of us are not even aware it exits.
I think we’re not actually remote-controlled, but somehow “programmed” into certain predictive behavioural patterns.
The set of beliefs it’s inserted into our minds, but we have to find a way to be aware of this thing, so we can react (start changing the belief system).
Statistically speaking, repeating the same stuff several times, you get an amount of individuals that will respond positively to that, but there is also the possibility that they will repel the trend.
We are surrounded by subtle mechanisms of programming, starting with the mass-media (mass-programming) and ending with the person beside us, that is already “contaminated”.
There is the possibility for the belief system to be altered, but all we have to do, is put a question mark on top of every new idea received.
Maybe not questioning every new idea – I think that would be tiresome, but from time to time I think that asking myself how some of the ideas affect my behaviour is totally welcome.
I agree with you on mass-programming and the person next to me being “contaminated” (that sounds harsh by the way!!!).
Most people don’t even know they are subtly “programmed” and they will resist if you try to shake their beliefs a little.
It’s just like in the Matrix (damn, this is becoming a clichee so fast): they are part of the system, and they will fight to protect it.
I think the best thing to do is take care of the closest thing we have – ourselves, and slowly, but surely, develop immunity to this kind of subtle brainwash. Maybe others will follow our example.
Take care!
